Flame Sensor

Flame sensor is used to detect the fire in the specified region. The sensor basically detects IR (Infra Red) light wavelength between 760 nm – 1100 nm (nano meter) that is emitted from flame.

Description

Flame sensor is used to detect the fire in the specified region. The sensor basically detects IR (Infra Red) light wavelength between 760 nm – 1100 nm (nano meter) that is emitted from flame. Most of the flame sensors came with YG1006 sensor which is a high speed and high sensitive NPN silicon photo transistor. It is covered with black epoxy, since the sensor is sensitive to infrared radiation. The Flame sensor has 4 pins: A0, D0, VCC, GND. We can get the analog output as well as digital output from this sensor. The Digital output is either 0 or 1 depending on the flame detection. If it detect the fire the output will be 0 and if doesn’t detect the fire then the output will be 1. These values can be adjusted by rotating the potentiometer on the sensor. The Analog out ranges between 0 and 1024. If the sensor is very nearer to flame then the output will be less and if it is far from the flame then the output will be high.
